Oliver Lewis Workshops

Learn the
Craft

Hands-on hat-making guided by the artisan himself — at the atelier, at your space, or online.

Every workshop, every time

You design it.
You make it.
You keep it.

Every hat you build in a workshop is entirely yours — designed by you, shaped by your hands, and finished to wear. Not a kit. Not a souvenir. A real, wearable Oliver Lewis piece that you made from scratch.

Questions

Good to
know.

None at all. Every workshop is designed for beginners and experienced makers alike. Richard meets you where you are and guides you through every step — no prior knowledge of hat-making required.
Private sessions run 3–5 hours depending on the complexity of your hat. Group events typically run 3–4 hours. Online classes are around 2 hours. You won't be rushed — the pace is yours.
Yes. When you enquire, Richard will discuss the options with you based on your skill level and the session length. Most participants choose a fedora or a structured brim hat for their first session.
All materials — felt or straw body, trimmings, band, and finishing details. Use of all tools and equipment. Richard's personal instruction throughout. And of course, you leave with the hat you made.
Private sessions book out 2–3 weeks in advance. Group events and corporate bookings should be arranged at least 4 weeks ahead. Get in touch as early as possible to secure your preferred date.
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the session can be rescheduled at no cost. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable but may be rescheduled once, subject to availability.
